A4 Mindanao lends a helping hand to Sendong survivors

A4 Mindanao Alliance is continually extending its helping hands to the survivors of Tropical Storm Sendong in Cagayan de Oro City.

Global Workforce, an online staffing firm along with some of its personnel based in Cagayan de Oro City, joined A4 Mindanao Alliance by providing financial aid. A4 Mindanao's members provided the manpower  and logistics to make the ongoing relief effort and gift giving possible.

Here are some photos taken last December 24, 2011 along Kauswagan Bridge.

  1. The recent Sendong-Washi Flash Flood in CDO brings out at least three type of personas:

    1. an immediate response with a sense of calculative measure to the rescue of victims was/is a natural impulse among those who prepare and train for emergency situations. while;

    2. those who are unprepared and untrained to respond are watching helplessly or running away with horror and terror; and while;

    3. others in a wishful thoughts of a lucrative and highly profitable business of the so-called disaster funds, in the disguise of "charity and social responsibility" do rejoice with gusto...

    Those who prepared and trained would have gained knowledge and understanding on the cause and effects of the various emergency situations and thereby would have responded accordingly...

    in fact, since 2007 the No. 1 personas were ringing the bells and calls for an immediate action for the imperative preparedness as mandated by law, in hopes of putting the necessary mitigating measures, with adequate fore-warnings of the inevitable.

    But the No. 2 personas were complacent and unmindful due to their ignorance of the inevitable.

    While the No. 3 personas were being forewarned, deliberately ignored the fore-warnings with much anticipations and thrill of the lurking profits of the so-called disaster funds with the consummation of the inevitable.

    The No. 1 personas who prepared and trained are the unsung and unpopular heroes likened to the ancient prophets...

    The No. 2 personas are those ignorant, passive collaborators for the greed and selfish interest of the No. 3 personas, and thereby willing and cheerful collateral victims...

    The No. 3 personas are those who assume accountability and responsibility but failed as evident to the recent plight of the flash flood victims, and evident to the the kind or manner of response in the part of those who assume accountability and responsibility... somehow, must have pocketed! i mean must have profited with the disaster funds...

    now, which among the three personas do you belong or represent?
